Welcome to the Advanced Manufacturing Maintenance Apprenticeship, a dynamic program designed to cultivate the skills and expertise necessary for a thriving career in the cutting-edge field of advanced manufacturing. This comprehensive apprenticeship focuses on developing proficiency in skills relevant to the advanced manufacturing industry such as:

The course supports the skills and knowledge development requirements for technician access into the engineering working environment and contains 3 components:

Essential skills at level 2 in: ICT
This course comprises of a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering alongside both NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 qualifications. This is designed to equip individuals with knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success in a range of technical manufacturing roles including the Screening, Crushing, Washing and Recycling industries.
Optional modules are selected if required by employer.
6 GCSEs at grades A* - C including English and preferably Grade B in Mathematics or equivalent.

There are two separate assessment methods throughout the course. The academic BTEC assessments are 100% coursework based and will primarily be carried out by the use of projects and assignments throughout the duration of the course. These will offer opportunities to achieve Pass, Merit, and Distinction criteria, and will be tracked though the year to form one final grade for each unit, and an end of year grade for the overall course. The more practical NVQ element of the course will be assessed in college at level 2 and from ‘work based visits’ where by you achieve the qualification by producing evidence of the work you are doing on your placement to satisfy pre-determined criteria at Level 3.
