Candidates wishing to: Develop the knowledge and understanding of complex administrative functions and activities. Develop the skills to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks when operating autonomously in a senior or supervisory role.
This qualification recognises learners' understanding of complex administrative functions and activities. It accredits learners' abilities to carry out a range of administrative tasks demanding a high level of personal autonomy in a senior or supervisory role. The qualification accredits learners' achievements in a modern, practical way that is relevant to work.

Entry is subject to interview.
Learners should have achieved the OCN Level 3 Diploma/Certificate in Administration (Business Professional) or have relevant qualifications and/or industry experience.
A reasonable level of written and spoken English is required.
Word Processing skills are desirable but not essential.
A minimum of 6 points at GCSE Level.
This criterion may be enhanced subject to demand for places.
It is likely that you will be currently working in or have the scope to work in a senior administrative role in order to demonstrate competence towards the units of the qualification.
In order to demonstrate competence, you will be assessed through the completion of realistic work-based assignments that allow you to demonstrate the ability to perform complex administrative tasks.
The OCR Level 4 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) provides opportunities for progression to further learning within the suite to other related qualifications or to employment. For example, learners who have completed the Level 4 Award in Administration (Business Professional) may progress to further learning via the following routes: Completing further relevant units from the same suite to achieve the Level Certificate or Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) Undertaking a further vocationally-related qualification Undertaking a competence based occupational qualification.
Learners may also progress to employment in administrative roles as these qualifications provide evidence of achievement of a range of practical skills, as well as underpinning knowledge and understanding of administration.
