Funding Support for Students
FREE Courses in English. Have you struggled with English and want to improve your skills? If this sounds like you, then South West College, Essential Skills Course in English is for you and best of all, it's FREE! Classes are delivered during the day and in the evening to suit everyone. Classes in English are available from Entry Level through to Level 2 (achievement at Level 2 is comparable to GCSE standard). The classes are designed to help improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will be able to: learn at your own pace, practise how to use the skills you learn in everyday situations, gain qualifications that employers will recognise. If you are not a native English speaker check out our English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses on the website. You will find more information here ESOL

Every student will complete an Essential Skills assessment prior to being enrolled onto the appropriate level
