The event raised £1200.00, which will be used to provide invaluable cancer support services across the local area of Tyrone and Fermanagh.

The event, sponsored by the Committee for Employment and Learning, was attended by key stakeholders including business and trade union representatives, MLAs, as well as staff and students from the six regional Further Education Colleges.

  • South West College Launches New Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services

    South West College recently launched a new Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services in a drive to support the development of this economically important sector. The apprenticeship is fully-funded by the Department for Employment and Learning and has been developed in collaboration with the Financial Skills Partnership, based on the sector needs and specific requirements of local employers.

  • Fermanagh Student Declan McGrath set for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015

    Declan Mcgrath age 20 from Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and currently employed at Bundoran Motors, Co Donegal, Ireland was named as one of the competitors for Squad UK (Automotive Technology) for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 after competing over three days of intense competition at Emtec Nottingham. Declan was invited to take part in Squad UK after excelling at the WorldSkills UK Pre-Selection Skills Competitions.
