STEP Horticulture students from South West College (SWC) set up business ‘Oops-a daisy’ and won ‘Highly Commended’ in the Team Programme at Young Enterprise Event and now move on to a regional competition against local schools.

Following a three day competition hosted at the NEC, Birmingham, the winners for the IMI Skill Auto 2015 competition have been announced with a massive success for South West College Motor Vehicle students. Connor McGaughey; from Mountfield an NVQ Level 3 Motor Vehicle student at South West College Omagh Campus and an employee of Kelly's Garage Mountfield took home a Gold Medal in the AutoTec competition. His classmate Seamus Goodfellow an employee of Ballina Car Auto Repair won bronze in the same category.

The college has moved to the next level by virtualising the college curriculum offer both nationally and internationally. One such project is the delivery of a fully online course with students in Zambia.
