The Strickland Scholarship is a prestigious annual competition organised by South West College in association with Strickland Tracks. It is designed for those who are interested in a career in engineering. The competition is aimed at Foundation Degree in Engineering students.

Accounting is a popular career choice. It was once seen as a specialised discipline associated primarily with mathematical geniuses it is now more accessible, with advances in computing meaning that it is less about natural numerical skill and more about aptitude and training.
Facing redundancy or being unemployed can be a challenging time. However it can also indicate a new beginning, breaking the mould and trying something new.

South West College has provided local manufacturing company Keystone Lintels Ltd part of the Keystone Group, with training in 3D Design through the Skills Focus Programme funded by the Department for the Economy.

Finance Minister Máirtín Ó Muilleoir has visited Enniskillen today for a number of engagements. During his trip he met with representatives from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and visited the South West College and Waterways Ireland Headquarters.

South West College Technology and Skills Centre in partnership with Errigal Contracts hosted an event to launch an all new Apprenticeship course in Interior Systems (Dry Lining), on Wednesday 29th June. At the well-attended event representatives from Errigal Contracts and South West College took the opportunity to brief the audience on the new ‘earn while you learn’ employment focused opportunities available.

Students studying Level 3 Sports Studies organised an innovative fundraising event ‘Pedal for Pounds’ in the Dungannon Campus of South West College on Wednesday 27th April, in aid of the Buddy Bear Trust.

The Higher Bridges Gallery in Enniskillen is the venue for this year’s South West College Art Exhibition. A number of the regions finest budding artists work will be on display until the 28th May.
South West College was the chosen venue for the first networking meeting of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) recently, and was attended by academics from across Northern Ireland.
