This qualification is designed for people looking to develop their knowledge on how to safely work on and around Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) systems and components.
The course is for those who have completed a Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement and wish to expand their knowledge to include understanding the function and operation of different types of hydrogen systems and components and the knowledge to safely carry out the removal and replacement and testing of components in hydrogen FCEV systems.
Skills Focus funding available towards course fees for eligible employers to up skill staff or for self-employed students. Please ask for further details.
The content of this qualification has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and understanding of different types of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle and system.
Knowledge covered:
Learners must hold a Level 3 qualification in high voltage Electric Vehicles, or have relevant knowledge and experience on working on high voltage Electric Vehicles, prior to starting this qualification
Multiple-choice questions, online examination
Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing & Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles & Components
This course may be eligible for Skills Focus or Flexible Skills funding.
