This qualification is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and are keen to develop your abilities. It is especially suited to team leaders who want to move up to the next level of management or for those who need to lead teams through change. The programme will help you to be an effective and confident firstline manager.
This course can be taken at Award, Certificate or Diploma level depending on the number of Units Taken. The units covered include Organising and Delegating, Managing Projects, Leading Meetings, Motivating Workers, Managing Learners and Relationships, Plan and Manage Change, Understanding Leadership etc.
Main requirement is commitment,and ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written mode.
Testing knowledge, understanding and application to industry will be principally through work based assessment, practical reports, and oral and written submissions. There are no formal examinations.
Learners can to progress to the level 5 Certificate/Diploma or any other suitable relevant qualification.
