Funding Support for Students
The programme provides applicants with a core knowledge and the higher technical skills in Transport/Supply Chain, it focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills in both the academic and Work Based Learning components of the programme. A universal approach to the course coupled with opportunities to work with students from other Higher Education programmes will enable participants to gain an appreciation of the importance of a team approach in the modern and vibrant Transport and Supply Chain sector. This multi-disciplinary approach is critical to ensure the successful and timely delivery of Transport and Supply Chain Management projects.
Teaching Delivery Statement
The teaching and learning strategy within this programme will comprise of a range of delivery methods such as face to face, online and blended. All methods used have the full agreement of students, external examiners and awarding body partners.

All applications will be individually considered. Successful applicants must have normally studied at level 3 or above for a minimum of two years. Applicants should possess a minimum of five GCSEs grades A, B, C that should include English and Maths or other equivalent (Essential skills numeracy, BTEC Level 3 Mathematics or Essential Skills Literacy) qualifications in addition to one of the following:
Where an applicant does not hold the formal academic requirements for entry to the programme but can demonstrate relevant experiential learning across a range of industries, they may apply for admission through the College Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) process. In such cases, contact the Course Director for the programme who will advise further.
To be eligible to commence study on the HLA pathway, applicants must have secured full-time paid employment in a relevant position.
Assessment of core modules will be by a combination of Course Work, Professional Report(s), Presentation(s) and Examinations.
The minimum overall pass mark of 40% is required to be achieved in all modules.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation Degree in Transport & Supply Chain Management programme, graduates may consider entering into employment within the Transport and Supply Chain sector or continuing to study by applying for a place on a BSc programme in a relevant discipline including the
Level 6 BSc (Hons) Top-Up Degree in Transport and Supply Chain Management at South West College.

Tuition Fees
Students do not pay course fees as a Higher Level Apprentice as the programme of study is funded by the Department for Economy.
To be eligible to commence study on the HLA pathway, applicants must have secured full-time paid employment in a Transport and/or Supply Chain related position in any sector.
Other fees associated with the course:
During your course you may be required to purchase course textbooks and incur additional costs for printing, photocopying and binding. The overall costs incurred to support your studies may be in the region of £100 per year.
