Funding Support for Students
The Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is for learners commencing or developing a career in the motor industry. This practical qualification demonstrates their skills in removing and replacing parts competently on light vehicles.
You will be able to remove and replace parts and components from light vehicles. You will also be able to service light vehicles.
Learners must be currently working within the Motor Vehicle Industry. Learners without formal qualifications but with five years' experience may be accepted on the course by interview.
This qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence and online multiple choice tests. Practical abilities will be assessed in the workplace.
Successful learners will progress to Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Part-Time). In addition, they could also progress into employment as a fitter in maintenance and repair.
