Employers can get involved through the design and development of Foundation degrees, supporting their own employees to complete one, employing Foundation degree graduates, or by providing student placements.”
The event acknowledged the vital part that employers play in supporting students educational journey through workplace provision, providing reskilling and up skilling opportunities to existing employees and assisting local Colleges and Universities to develop curriculum relevant to employability skills.
William Young, Industry Liaison Officer, SWC, said; “At South West College we are fortunate to have an excellent relationship with many employers within the construction and engineering sector across the region. Their support has assisted many of our students to excel in their professions and gain permanent employment locally on completion of their courses”.
