South West College (SWC) Art and Design student, Ronan Naylor, recently competed at the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) UK and Ireland Final, at the CertMatters Live Conference held as the Design Museum Centre London.
The competition, presented by Certiport Inc, is a global competition that tests students’ design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Top students are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship in Orlando, where they will create a designated design project for Certiport’s chosen non-profit client.
Although Ronan didn’t make it through to the Orlando final, he was awarded for his excellent design skills and for achieving one of the top marks in the ACA Photoshop exam, which he took at SWC.
Speaking about Ronan’s success, his tutor at SWC, Patricia Fox, said:
“Everyone in the team is delighted with Ronan’s achievements, which are a true testament to his talent and ambition. This experience with the Adobe Certified Associate competition will also provide him with a valuable competitive edge for future study and employment.”
