Learn to design and create games for free at the South West College (SWC) Games Development Summer Academy, which will take place from Monday 27th June to Wednesday 29th June, 9.30 am – 4 pm at the SWC Erne/Enniskillen Campus. The computer games industry is the biggest entertainment market in the world, but only the best games make it big. During this academy, young learners will gain insight into the key game design principles and theories that underpin the development of successful games. And it’s not just games! The software and skills developed in this short, intense academy can be applied to VFX in the film and animation industry, as well as for the Web.
This engaging industry-led, three-day programme will be taught by friendly, experienced tutors and includes lunch. It is all about hands-on game development and applying the knowledge you learn to design and create a game using industry-standard software such as the amazing Unreal Engine, one of the world’s most open and advanced real-time 3-D creation tools.
