Local lad, ‘DJ Chris-e’ from Omagh reigned supreme in the DJ category at the recent Music Skills NI competition at the Market Place Theatre in Armagh.
Chrissy, who has just completed his first year of the level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production at the South West College Omagh Campus walked away with the title of top DJ at the event which saw up and coming performers, musicians and DJs studying on courses at the six regional colleges across the province, battle it out for the noble title of best in field for their area of specialism.
All entrants were judged by a panel of industry professionals including: Mike Mormecha, frontman of rock act Mojo Fury; Fiona O’Kane, vocalist and lead songwriter with Runaway Go; Lyndon Stephens, director of Champion Sound Recordings and Adam Booth, freelance sound designer.
