This qualification is ideal if you have management/ supervisory responsibilities but no formal training/ qualifications. It is particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other challenges. This qualification is made up of a wide range of units covering core management skills. By undertaking this programme you will develop key leadership and management skills across a range of areas.
This course can be taken at Award, Certificate or Diploma level depending on the number of Units Taken. The units covered include Organising and Delegating, Managing Projects, Leading Meetings, Motivating Workers, Managing Learners and Relationships, Plan and Manage Change, Understanding Leadership etc.

Hold 4 GCSEs, grades A-C, to include English and Maths* Where candidates do not have GCSE English/ Maths, they can enrol on Essential Skills Literacy/ Numeracy at SWC Desirable Criteria – experience in supervising a work team.
Knowledge, understanding and application of theory to industry will be principally assessed through written assignments, presentations and professional discussion. There are no formal exams.
Learners can to progress to the level 5 Certificate/Diploma or any other suitable relevant qualification.
