Overview

This course is suited to students interested in advance techniques in the beauty therapy industry. Students will be trained in a realistic working environment in the College’s state of art salons. Students will experience the normal day-to-day running of a beauty salon and will engage with customers and potential employers. This will ensure students are ready to begin an exciting journey within the beauty industry and will open various pathways for progression. The delivery mode for this code can be a 1 year full time, apprenticeship or 2 years part time.

This course combines a large proportion of practical learning with relevant science and business units. You will gain practical skills in advanced facial electrical treatment, full body massage, pre-blend massage, Indian head massage, hot stone therapy. The course will also give you knowledge on the monitoring processes required for health and safety. The planning and implementation of promotional activities is another core component of this course. These are all essential to ensure you are ready to work in the beauty industry in a supervisory capacity. The College also will enhance the learning experience of students throughout the year to gain additional qualifications, engage with industry experts and participate in workshops relevant to the industry.

  • Monitor procedures to safely control work operations.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementations of promotional activities.
  • Provide facial electrical treatments.
  • Provide body massage treatments.
  • Provide Indian Head massage.
  • Carry out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils.
  • Provide stone therapy treatments.

Level 2 Beauty Therapy or equivalent.

Practical observations and online testing.

On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake further study in qualifications such as the Foundation Degree in Hair and Beauty Management (with Specialisms) or further professional qualifications in Beauty Therapy.

Students will be required to purchase a uniform and kit on commencement of the programme.
